These terms are the agreement between you and Maksim Sakovich ("we") for the use of the Voice Reader app. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
Voice Reader converts written material you provide — a PDF, a photograph of a page, a web link or pasted text — into spoken audio, and plays it back. Speech is generated by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech through our server.
You may use the app for personal listening, and for material you own or are otherwise entitled to use. You must not use it to reproduce material you have no right to reproduce, and you are responsible for what you import. Do not use the app to break the law or to interfere with our servers — including by circumventing the subscription requirement or the fair use ceiling, forging requests, or attempting to use the synthesis service from outside the app.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period. If a free trial is running and you buy a subscription, any unused part of the trial ends at that moment.
We do not take payments ourselves and cannot issue refunds; refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy. One subscription may unlock a limited number of devices — the app tells you if that limit has been reached.
Converting text into audio requires an active Voice Reader Pro subscription. There is no free allowance: without a subscription the app does not generate speech at all. Everything else is open without paying — importing a document, a photograph, a link or pasted text, editing it before listening, browsing your library, hearing a short sample of each voice, and playing back audio you have already generated.
A subscription does not make the allowance unlimited. A weekly fair use ceiling applies; it is stated on the subscription screen, and exists so that one shared or forged installation identifier cannot run up an unbounded cost.
Synthesis needs a working connection to our server and to the speech vendor. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or discontinue parts of it. Audio already generated stays on your device and keeps playing offline.
Whatever you import remains yours. We claim no rights over it. Text is sent for synthesis only for as long as the request takes and is not retained by us afterwards; see the Privacy Policy for the detail.
The synthetic voices are provided by Google. They are for listening to your own material; do not use the generated audio to imitate a real person, or in any way that breaches Google Cloud's terms for its speech service.
The app is provided as it is. Speech synthesis and text recognition make mistakes — a scanned page may be read wrongly, and a web page may be extracted imperfectly. Do not rely on the app where an error would matter, such as for medical, legal or financial instructions. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim.
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may end your access if you break these terms — in particular by attacking or circumventing the synthesis service.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and material changes are described in the app's release notes.
These terms are between you and us. Apple is not a party to them, and nothing here places any obligation on Apple towards you.
What you get is a licence to use the app, not ownership of it. The licence is personal and cannot be transferred. It covers Apple-branded devices you own or control, on the conditions the App Store's own Usage Rules set out, and it reaches no further than that.
Support is ours to give. Apple has no obligation to answer questions about the app or to maintain it; the address at the bottom of this page is the one that reaches us.
If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price where a refund applies. Beyond that refund, and to the extent the law allows, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the app — anything further is ours to answer for.
Claims about the app are ours to answer as well: product liability, a failure to meet a legal requirement, a claim brought under consumer protection law, or anything of that kind. Apple is not responsible for any of them.
If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we — not Apple — are responsible for investigating that claim and for defending or settling it.
By using the app you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by it as supporting terrorism, and that you are not listed by the U.S. Government as a prohibited or restricted party.

Where the app relies on a service run by someone else, you must keep to that service's own terms as well as to these.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
